Master of Science in Computer Science

Oregon State University

GPA: 3.87/4, Jan 2022 - Present

Coursework: CS514: Algorithms - Design, Analysis, and Implementations AI534: Machine Learning AI535: Deep Learning AI539: Machine Learning Real World Challenges AI539: Intro to Online Learning (AI) CS549: Scalable Querying & Machine Learning Inference CS540: Database Management Systems CS549: Hot Topics in Data Systems CS572: Computer Architecture CS575: Parallel Programming

Research: I have had the privilege of collaborating with Prof. Arash Termehchy at the IDEA Lab, where my focus has been on researching and enhancing the performance of online bandit join algorithms. Specifically, I have been working on optimizing and estimating these algorithms, considering probabilistic random rewards. This research has entailed working extensively with the source code of the open-source database management system, PostgreSQL.

Work Experience

With 8 years of software development experience, I'm well-versed in end-to-end Agile processes and all phases of the SDLC. I've worked for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), serving clients like State Farm (USA) and Proximus (Belgium).

Developer (Assistant Systems Engineer)

Feb 2014 - Dec 2017, Hyderabad, India

  • Optimized manual effort by creating a CICS screen for modifying policy effective dates, reducing 500 hours/year.
  • Assisted in resolving discrepancies in IBM DB2 databases as part of the technical support team.
  • Contributed to data migration projects involving the transfer of data from IMS DB to IBM DB2.
  • Received a performance rating of 4 out of 5 while undergoing training in IBM Mainframes, demonstrating exceptional skills and performance.
  • Received an on-the-spot award for promptly resolving high-priority defects within the designated SLA.

Senior Developer (Systems Engineer)

Jan 2018 - Jun 2019, Hyderabad, India

  • Deployed 22 main programs and 67 sub-modules code changes in one production release with zero postproduction defects.
  • Created a tool using Rexx and PL/I that loads customer data from the production environment to the test environment, reducing the manual effort required from 60 mins to 5 mins.
  • Responsible for giving technical and functional training to the junior developers in the team.
  • Built a fault-tolerant COBOL, SQL, and TACL program for updating the addresses of 100K Proximus customers.

Technical Lead and Code Designer (IT Analyst)

Jul 2019 - Nov 2021, Brussels, Belgium

  • Managed a team of 5 remotely, overseeing daily scrum meetings and Agile work planning.
  • Achieved a substantial decrease in the backlog defect count, reducing it from 150 to 40 within one year. Set a record for the lowest defect count in Proximus core customer billing group since 2000.
  • Responsible for developing design and code for critical billing system application of the telecom client.
  • Led code debugging and defect fixing in the customer-oriented billing group at the client's onsite location. Managed post-deployment technical issues promptly.
